DESCRIPTION:Discover fresh inspiration from reading and writing\, and make new connections with colleagues by participating in the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being’s second Writing for Well-Being Group: https://wellbeing.gmu.edu/resources-2/resources/writing-for-wellbeing/ The latest Writing for Well-Being Group\, a summer journaling group\, will give participants the chance to engage in their own journaling writing to explore topics ranging from courage to vulnerability\, from self-compassion to grief\, from joy to wonder. \nEach session will explore two chapters from “Unlocking the Heart: Writing for Mindfulness\, Courage\, and Self-Compassion” by James Crews. SUMMARY:Mental Health First Aid
DESCRIPTION:Complete MHFA training to learn how to help someone suffering from a mental health crisis\, increase your mental health literacy\, and dismantle the stigma associated with mental health and substance use challenges. \nThe 8-hour training will be split into two 4-hour sessions. You must attend both sessions to earn the three-year Mental Health First Aid certification.
