DESCRIPTION:The fall 2026 Writing for Well-Being groups give participants a chance to explore wonder and delight through reading\, conversation\, and journaling in response to Ross Gay’s The Book of Delights. \nSynchronous virtual sessions from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on September 4\, 11\, 18\, and 25: \nRegister on Mason 360 for the fall virtual group\nSynchronous in-person sessions from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on the Fairfax campus (location to be sent after registration) on October 8\, 15\, 22\, and 29: \nRegister on Mason 360 for the fall in-person group\nThis is intended for participants interested in reading\, writing\, and sharing with others. Participants do NOT need to have an active journaling practice.

DESCRIPTION:Complete MHFA training to learn how to help someone suffering from a mental health crisis\, increase your mental health literacy\, and dismantle the stigma associated with mental health and substance use challenges. \nThe 8-hour training will be split into two 4-hour sessions or four 2-hour sessions. You must attend both sessions to earn the three-year Mental Health First Aid certification. DESCRIPTION:Mason students\, staff\, and faculty can learn more about mindfulness and meditation through two different four-week programs created by the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA). \nThis evidence-based curriculum teaches mindfulness\, meditation\, and stress management in ways you can integrate into your busy life.
