PTSD and other trauma-related disorders; post-trauma functioning; treatment-seeking behaviors; resilience and coping factors
Lauren Paige is a fourth year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Department at George Mason University. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Spelman College, where she graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors in Psychology. In 2014, she received her M.S.Ed in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami, where she worked under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Pérez Benítez developing multicultural research and bilingual (English-Spanish) clinical skills. Her current interests are primarily in the area of trauma. Specifically, she is interested in trauma-related disorders (primarily PTSD) and the factors that support resilience and effective functioning after trauma, such as coping behaviors and help-seeking behaviors.
