DESCRIPTION:Mason students\, staff\, and faculty can learn more about mindfulness and meditation through two different four-week programs created by the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA). \nThis evidence-based curriculum teaches mindfulness\, meditation\, and stress management in ways you can integrate into your busy life. Studies suggest that the training leads to significant well-being benefits\, such as better sleep\, less perceived stress\, and more self-compassion. \nWhile these programs are designed with young adults in mind\, the benefits are not limited to young adults\, so you’re encouraged to sign up regardless of your age. \nRegister for an opportunity to learn mindfulness and meditation techniques via Zoom: \nIntro to Mindfulness Part 1 on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on March 20 and 27\, and April 3 and 10 – Register here

DESCRIPTION:Faculty/staff small-group book discussion groups are designed to foster conversation around social connection\, loneliness\, sense of belonging\, and other well-being topics. Join us this fall as we read Project UnLonely: Healing Our Crisis of Disconnection by Jeremy Nobel\, MD\, MPH. \nThis is a two-session book discussion. In session one\, participants will discuss the book\, and in session two\, participants will get to experience the Colors and Connection program outlined in the book.
