Katie Clare is the Director of Well-Being Programs and is responsible for leading and collaborating on well-being programs offered to our campus community such as the Resilience Badge, mindfulness training courses, and ProjectConnect. Alongside Student Health Services, she co-leads Mason’s Mental Health First Aid training through the National Council for Mental Well-Being.

Prior to joining CWB in 2019, she served in a variety of roles at George Mason University that were primarily focused on student success. For more than 10 years, she served as the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Academic Affairs for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has taught for the Honors College, the Department of English, and the UNIV 100 program. She transitioned the Mental Health First Aid content into a partial-term course to increase student participation in 2017. Similarly, she created a partial-term course in which students could earn their digital credential in resilience. For two years, she served as the faculty member for the Well-Being Living Learning Community.
