Ashley Korman is Assistant Director of Well-Being Programs, Center for the Advancement of Well-Being, and Mason Chooses Kindness Co-Chair.
As Assistant Director of Well-Being Programs at the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being, Ashley leads the coordination of signature initiatives such as Spring into Well-Being and Mason Chooses Kindness, while fostering cross-campus collaborations that support student engagement and holistic well-being. Her work includes partnering on events like OIPS iCafe, New Student and Family Programs tabling, Family Weekend programming, and Welcome2Mason efforts, all designed to cultivate a culture of connection, inclusion, and kindness across the Mason community.
Ashley brings over nine years of experience in education across higher education and K-12 settings. Before joining CWB, she served as an academic advisor in the College of Engineering and Computing. Ashley has taught UNIV 100 and currently teaches BAS 300 for the Bachelor of Applied Science program, where she helps students develop professional competency skills. Previously, Ashley spent seven years as a middle school counselor in Prince William County, where she co-presented at national and state conferences on research, conducted in partnership with Emory university, exploring the impact of wellness rooms on reducing student distress.
Ashley earned her Master of Education in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from Penn State University in 2016 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2014. She has been a National Certified Counselor™ (NCC®) since 2016.
