
Ashley Korman is the Assistant Director of Well-Being Programs.
Ashley brings over nine years of experience in education, including time in both higher education and K-12 settings. Before joining CWB, she was an academic advisor in the Information Sciences and Technology Department within the College of Engineering and Computing. Ashley has also taught University 100 and currently teaches BAS 300 for the Bachelor of Applied Science program, where she helps students develop professional competency skills.
Prior to joining George Mason, Ashley was a middle school counselor in Prince William County Public Schools for 7 years. During her time as a school counselor, she presented at both the American Psychological Association National Conference and the Virginia School Counselor Association Statewide Conference, sharing research conducted in partnership with Emory University on the effectiveness of wellness rooms in reducing distress among middle school students.
Ashley earned her Master of Education in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from Penn State University in 2016 and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 2014. She has been a National Certified Counselor™ (NCC®) since 2016.
