Dr. Ali A. Weinstein is a Professor in the Department of Global and Community Health and a Senior Scholar in the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being at George Mason University. She received her PhD and MS in Medical Psychology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and a MA in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Maryland – College Park. Her research has focused on important contributors to health and wellness within the broad context of medical psychology: depression, stress, and physical activity/exercise. She pursues studies that aim to explain the mechanisms that link physical and mental health.
