Patrice Levinson

Patrice Levinson is a Family Nurse Practitioner at Mason’s Student Health Services. She has experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner at Inova Fairfax Hospital, and as a critical care nurse at Georgetown University Hospital and Boston’s Beth Israel Hospital. She is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach (BSN) and George Mason/George Washington University (MSN).
She co-leads Mason’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training program alongside faculty from the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being. She became a MHFA instructor in 2014 to help members of our Mason community learn how to talk about and how to help others with mental health concerns. MHFA training provides a format for discussing the stigma of mental illness, learning the signs and symptoms of common mental illnesses, and providing hope for recovery.
She has written articles for our Thriving Together series on mental health subjects and most recently, “Commute to Work by Bike for Well-Being.
And, yes, she commutes to work by bike!
