
Raedeh Basiri, PhD, RDN, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at George Mason University’s College of Public Health. Her research focuses on precision nutrition and technology-enabled dietary interventions to improve glycemic control, cardiometabolic health, and quality of life among adults at risk for chronic disease. She leads and collaborates on clinical trials examining the effects of healthy eating on the prevention and management of chronic diseases, integrating continuous glucose monitoring and personalized nutrition strategies.
Her research advances the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being’s mission by developing and testing evidence-based, technology-enabled nutrition interventions that promote metabolic health and quality of life in adults at risk for chronic disease. Through precision nutrition approaches, including continuous glucose monitoring and personalized dietary strategies, her work supports sustained behavior change, vitality, and self-efficacy in managing health under real-world conditions. By integrating clinical science with practical, scalable interventions, my research contributes to interdisciplinary efforts to help individuals and communities thrive amid health, social, and environmental complexity.
