CliftonStrengths

The Key is Focusing on What's Strong, Not Wrong

StrengthsGeorge Mason University has partnered with the Gallup Organization since 2006 to create a strengths-based culture on our campus. This means we focus on what's strong about each of our students, faculty, and staff, and provide resources to help them recognize and develop their own strengths. You'll see strengths embedded into a wide range of academic courses, co-curricular activities, and development opportunities.

How Do I Learn about My Strengths?

The Clifton Strengths Assessment is an online talent assessment developed by Gallup that measures the taker's unique talents – their natural patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving – and categorizes them into 34 unique CliftonStrengths themes. This assessment is widely used in corporate and educational settings and has been taken by more than 36 million people worldwide. Mason students, faculty, and staff can take the CliftonStrengths assessment for free.
