
Tahrin Afrin is a foreign-trained physician (MBBS), health informatics specialist, and research professional with a Master of Science in Health Informatics. She supports interdisciplinary well-being research at George Mason University, contributing to studies on resilience, strengths-based development, and student flourishing. Her interests include clinical research, public health, and data-driven approaches to improving health and well-being outcomes.
Her research supports the mission of the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being through involvement in interdisciplinary studies examining strengths-based development, resilience, and psychosocial well-being among college student populations. As part of research conducted under Dr. Ali Weinstein, she contribute to projects exploring how CliftonStrengths and positive psychology interventions influence belonging, resilience, engagement, and life satisfaction. Through data analysis and research support, she help advance evidence-based approaches that promote individual flourishing, purpose, and adaptive well-being in educational settings, aligning closely with CWB’s commitment to fostering thriving individuals and communities.
