Megan DuBois

Dr. Megan DuBois (PhD, MCHES) is an assistant professor in the Department of Global and Community Health at George Mason University. With over two decades of experience as a Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES since 2011), she brings a dynamic blend of academic expertise, research experience, and public health practice into the classroom.

Her teaching philosophy centers on energizing and empowering students through hands-on, applicable learning. She believes that education should lead to greater well-being and inspire meaningful action—personally, professionally, and within communities.

Her research supports the mission of the Center for the Advancement of Well-Being through involvement in interdisciplinary studies examining strengths-based development, resilience, and psychosocial well-being among college student populations. As part of research conducted under Dr. Ali Weinstein, she contribute to projects exploring how CliftonStrengths and positive psychology interventions influence belonging, resilience, engagement, and life satisfaction. Through data analysis and research support, she help advance evidence-based approaches that promote individual flourishing, purpose, and adaptive well-being in educational settings, aligning closely with CWB’s commitment to fostering thriving individuals and communities.
