Lavender Orientation is an event targeted toward LGBTQ-identified freshmen while also being open to upperclassmen and allies. Attendees can learn more about resources, student groups, and what it’s like to be queer at Mason.
The event will serve as a chance for both incoming and returning students to connect with resources such as ODIME, LGBTQ Resources, and more, as well as with student groups such as Pride Alliance. It will also feature opportunities for students to make new friends and find their place within the Mason community, including a panel and Q&A session with current students. This event will consist of structured presentations and panels as well as loosely-structured time for socializing between students and is expected to be approximately tow and a half hours long.
